Do not speak with law enforcement or prosecutors about your case without an attorney present. Also, do not speak on the phone about your case. The conversation may be recorded without your knowledge. Essentially, maintain confidentiality about your case and speak only with your lawyer about the details. This is one way through which you can protect yourself.
